"Four big swirls on each side are providing a consistent look for this Persian rug. In the center the swirls are unified by diamond and circular lines with flowers in the middle. This combination of flowers (especially daisies) and diamond and circular lines is a commonly used motif in Persian Persian rug decorating also known by the name of Mina-Khani motifs. The decorations are painted in brown, beige, greens and even navy. These colors create a visible contrast with the ivory background. The borders feature beige and light brown backgrounds and the same graphic motifs as the field. Over all this Persian rug is certainly a great choice for any Gregorian or Traditionalist style interior."
Nain Rugs
The rugs produced in the region of Nain are also very popular. They feature a specific design with an ivory or blue background. The central medallion colors matches the background but also the motifs used inside the rug. Older rugs from this region are very difficult to find but the quality is exceptional, as has always been in this region.
