"The foreground image of this Persian rug is a vase that is colored in blue and rusty. The overall picture is worked on ivory background and so the atmosphere around the carpet is bright. The flowers in the vase are painted in dark colors that stand out immediately due to their naturalness. At the bottom of the carpet, one each side we see animals colored using natural shades. We see some birds flying among the flowers in the picture, colorful exotic birds. The inner corners of the carpet are perfectly matching the red middle border and frame the picture using a remarkable dynamism. Ord#9266a"
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
