"The bright image displayed on this Persian rug is due to the ivory background. The colors of flowers and leaves inside carpet are very intense and full of dynamism. The contrast between the interior of the Persian rug and the navy corners is very strong. The middle edge of the carpet is red and is framed by external and internal blue edges. Lotus flowers which symbolizes rebirth are colored in gray and brown, a combination that is natural and enjoyable. The design is medallion and is colored in shades of blue and red with navy and ivory outlines."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
