SIL590 2X3 FINE PERSIAN TABRIZ RUG

"The Persian rug's rusty main border is crossed by lotus, Peony and Pomegranate flowers. These flowers are great symbols of rebirth, power and fertility in Persian Persian rugs design symbolism. The background is ivory, a very bright color that creates a pleasantly contrast with the main border. The medallion is painted with the same colors as the main border and is surrounded by green colored leaves ornaments. The Persian rug features a perfect symmetry which has a powerful aesthetic effect that is also increased through the design inviting and lively colors."

Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory. They offer strong contrasts in the rug’s image but also inspire serenity and beauty. Most are hand-knotted on a soft cotton foundation using a combination of wool and silk. Some of them show the common floral designed central medallion. Featuring different sizes and a perfect symmetry these rugs prove the skills of those who worked to manufacture them.
