"In the foreground of this image two people are shown, ie one man and one woman. Each of them has intensely colored clothes, the woman clotches being red and yellow for the man. Behind them we can see a blooming tree which is commonly used in pictorials like this one. The man is holding a book from which he reads. The woman holds a pitcher of water in her right and with the left holds a cup handing it to the man. The background color under their feet is black and behind them are beige hills. Above you can see the clear blue sky. The Persian rug is framed by a red border that is covered with floral Shah-Abbasi motifs."

Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
