"What we have here is the image of a Persian rug which is so light and airy and at the same time natural looking. This is because of the ivory background covered with floral decorations naturally colored in shades of green, navy, blue and red. Other motifs are the lanceolate leafs which are also beautifully painted in two different colors. The medallion is colored in blue and beige with navy and red outlines. In the medallion center we can observe beautiful lotus flowers outlined using intense colors. It matches the main border beige background crossed by naturally colored floral motifs."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
