"From the first glance we notice the impressive size of its medallion. This medallion layout Persian rug is designed predominantly with brown and blue. The center medallion shows shades of ivory, green, gray and very dark red. It is designed to pass over the inner and the main borders as if it would be placed on top of the whole Persian rug's image. The main border is black and frames the Persian rug's field just as a painting frame. The corners contain various flowers ornaments which are properly arranged following a particular sequence."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
