"This Persian rug's field navy background is surrounded by the pleasant looking ivory color from the inner and outer borders. The same ivory color is used for the field corners. As for the main border red is used, a strong, dynamic color. The medallion combines the main border background color with gray. The flowers are tinted beige and ivory while they are outlined in bright, intense colors. Brightness is also gave through the field decorations color scheme which is very bright and full of serenity."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
