"The image of this Persian rug has a lighting effect thanks to its bright, shiny color scheme. The design of this high quality Persian rug is medallion. It is hand-knotted with wool on a natural silk foundation with a knots density of 550 knots per square inch. The central medallion is pleasantly surrounded with dark red while its interior is colored with a shade of beige. The Peony flowers used for decorating have bold, rich colors and symbolize power. On the main border we can see the Shah-Abassi motif also brightly colored and having rich outlines."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
