"This colorful Persian rug features the Tabriz style, internationally known for its age and fame in Persian Persian rugs industry. The Gombad Persian rug design is one that describes images of mosques, their external shape and their central dome-shaped interior. The center of this dome is designed to give the idea and the sensation of height. Colors used in the center are ivory, gray, blue and orange. Gray is also used for the borders which are decorated with flower ornaments. The carpet pile is made of silk mixed with wool, both natural and weaved on cotton foundation. At one side of the Persian rug we find the hand-knotted designer signature."
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory. They offer strong contrasts in the rug’s image but also inspire serenity and beauty. Most are hand-knotted on a soft cotton foundation using a combination of wool and silk.
