"Blue is the predominant color for the floral and foliage motifs used to decorate this Persian rug. Even though the Persian rug's image is brightened by the ivory background and the beige main border, the floral motifs are shaded with powerful bold colors. In the center of the Persian rug we can see the Mina-Khanni motif composed of flowers surrounded by a diamond. The flowers are blue colored symbolizing the afterlife and solitude. Pomegranate and lotus flowers are used colored in different shades of dark red or brown. The outer and inner borders are also outlined in shades of blue and ivory."

Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
