"This carpet has a finesse that is easily observed because it is handmade from wool on a silk base. The middle of this Persian rug presents a rosette that stands beside some roses. The carpet has certain symmetry in the general picture. The beige middle border is crossed by dark blue and red colored flowers, two strong colors that are complementary. Red is the color of faith, joy and good fortune and blue the symbol for the afterlife. Note the designer signature on one side of the carpet, worked and integrated in the texture of the Persian rug."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
