"The carpet has a real beauty because of the great color palette that was used. We have an ivory background, very clear and bright that contrasts sharply with the dark red of the middle border. The floral motifs used on the middle border are highly detailed and heavily contoured. It is an allover design and is painted in colors full of life and passion. The flowers wreaths are richly decorated and the lotus flowers or pomegranate in the image are outlined with great dexterity. We can see a subtle symmetry in the painting of this Persian rug that was made with skill and imagination."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
