SIL180 7X10 FINE PERSIAN TABRIZ RUG

"The Persian rug is a rare beauty that combines pastels and joyful colors in a manner of great elegance. Borders are not accurately outlined on the corners giving the impression of a portrait painting with roses, symbols of innocence, at corners. Red color is very strong but is somewhat tamed by gray and orange used for the medallion. We have in front of us a multitude of flowers which make the gorgeous picture of the carpet. Among these are: the Peony flower, symbolizing power, the iris, symbolizing religious freedom, the lily, symbolizing spirituality and innocence, the lotus, symbolizing rebirth. Besides flowers, loaded with symbols, we have endless leafs as symbols of regeneration. All these feature a great color scheme."

Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory. They offer strong contrasts in the rug’s image but also inspire serenity and beauty. Most are hand-knotted on a soft cotton foundation using a combination of wool and silk. Some of them show the common floral designed central medallion. Featuring different sizes and a perfect symmetry these rugs prove the skills of those who worked to manufacture them.
