"This Persian rug has a green background and a pictorial design. In the Persian rug field image we can see the picture of a flower vase, colored with red and brightly outlined. On each side two pairs of birds are perched on the beautiful Peony flowers, shaded with rich and varied colors. All field corners are decorated with flowers vases, colored differently than the main one. The main border also includes several vases of flowers, colored in rust. The outlines smoothness is easily visible, and the quality given by the natural wool pile and silk foundation is amazing."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
